04About

Martinique to Helsinki

Two places about as different as places get. Both of them shaped how I work.

01 — Martinique · Caribbean

My story starts on an island.

I'm from Martinique — a small island with a big personality, where French and Caribbean culture meet.

It's where my roots are, and where I first understood that the world is a lot bigger than the place you start from.

02 — 8,381 km north-east

Then I went north. Properly north.

Swapping the Caribbean for Finland changes the climate, the language and the pace of everyday life.

It also makes you good at adapting quickly, asking better questions and staying comfortable being the new person in the room.

03 — Helsinki · Finland

Helsinki is where things got built.

Helsinki is known for its high-quality education — and that's where my business path took shape. A decade of studying business led to a BBA in Business Administration with a marketing major, and I'm now doing a master's in Business Law.

Building companies taught me the rest — products, operations, recruitment, and the technology that holds it all together.

04 — Somewhere in between

Freedom, curiosity and a bias for building.

I care more about freedom and flexibility than titles. I travel whenever I can, and I'm curious about how almost everything works.

What I enjoy most is turning ideas into businesses — and into systems that keep running when nobody is watching.

05Systems

I don't just have ideas.

I like understanding how the systems behind them work.

I'm not only a software developer — I'm someone who likes owning the whole picture: the product people touch, the automations behind it and the servers it runs on. Here's that stack, from the screen down to the hardware.

  1. Layer 1 of 5

    Product

The apps and websites people actually use.

Web and mobile products, from the first sketch to an app-store release.

    Next.js/React/TypeScript/Tailwind CSS/Capacitor for iOS & Android

  2. Layer 2 of 5

    Automation

Work that runs by itself, so people don't have to.

Workflows, AI features, emails and payments wired together behind the scenes.

    Cursor/n8n/AI SDK & LLMs/Resend/Stripe

  3. Layer 3 of 5

    Deployment

Shipping changes safely — and knowing when something breaks.

Automated builds, staging and production environments, error monitoring.

    GitHub Actions/Vercel/Docker/Sentry

  4. Layer 4 of 5

    Infrastructure

The servers, databases and backups underneath everything.

Self-managed servers running containerised services, with backups I can restore.

    VPS hosting/Docker Compose/Dockge/SQLite/Automated backups

  5. Layer 5 of 5

    Homelab

Building, securing & operating my own infrastructure.

A personal infrastructure lab spanning virtualization, network engineering, cybersecurity and self-hosted services. Built on bare-metal servers, segmented networks and Linux-based systems to experiment, deploy and operate real-world applications.

    Proxmox VE/OPNsense/TrueNAS/Docker/Linux/Qubes OS

08Refereeing

Since sixteen

I started refereeing basketball at around 16. It's still where I practise the things that matter everywhere else.

Preparation. Composure. Making a clear decision in a second, with everyone watching — and being consistent enough that both teams trust the next one.

Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences

Finland's top-ranked upper secondary school at the time — where I began studying business as a higher-level subject.

11Outside work

Away from the screen, you'll find me go-karting, on the court, in the boxing gym, on a plane somewhere, with my family, tinkering with servers or learning something new.

  • 01

    Training & boxing

Training keeps me honest. Boxing especially rewards preparation, rhythm and staying calm when it gets uncomfortable.

  • 02

    Travel

Coming from an island and living in the north made travel feel normal. New places are still the fastest way to see things differently.

  • 03

    Family

However flexible the rest of life gets, family is the fixed point — and time with them stays on the calendar.

  • 04

    Building & learning

I like taking things apart to understand them: software, servers, business models. There's usually an experiment running somewhere.
